What is hosting anyway and do I need it? Think of your website like a billboard and hosting would be the fee to display your ad on that billboard there are different plans as there are different sizes of billboards offered. I will break down the different features offered so you can make the best decision on which plan is right for you.
Web Space:

When space is discussed in relation to a website it is similar to the way space is referred to on a computer, tablet or phone. It is the amount of room you have available to store your website and files. If you have a group website that posts small resolution photos and blog posts a small amount of space should be fine it just depends on the frequency of posts. If you have a small E-commerce or larger group site and you post a lot of photos & newsletters the Deluxe hosting would be better suited for your needs. Finally if you have a large E-commerce (greater than 100 products you will most likely require the Ultimate plan.

FTP Accounts:

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol this is essentially access to upload and download files from the backend of your website. This is needed for websites that are not CMS (Content Management System) which means you would need to directly alter the HTML code to alter the website. If you do have a website designed using a CMS platform a low number of FTP accounts would be sufficient. This is because even though CMS platforms are very versatile it is still required sometimes to upload files directly to your website directories.

Email Accounts:

This is fairly straightforward but I will mention that when factoring in required email accounts don’t forget the service accounts you many want such as contact@ billing@ support@ sales@ etc. You can set different email address to forward messages to other accounts but it may be beneficial t have multiple service accounts along with employee or member accounts.

MYSQL DB:

Databases are the backbone of many CMS platforms and some websites can have multiple platforms running simultaneously this would the time that multiple databases would be required.

Monthly Billing:

We bill monthly and clients have various ways in which to make payments but by default accounts are set to pay monthly.
